The Chancellor, George Osborne started his budget speech yesterday by saying “This is a big budget for a country with big ambitions”. There is no doubt that the government wants growth to continue, cementing this fact by stating that their aim is to eradicate the UK’s deficit by 2020. But was the Chancellor’s budget a giant leap too soon, or a giant step in the right direction?
