On Wednesday 29 June 2016, White Hart Associates played MHA MacIntyre Hudson in their annual charity cricket match, all in support of the leading cancer research charity The Royal Marsden.
The Charity Cricket Teams
We were all expecting a glorious sunny day, but in true British style, rain threatened play. At the Oval, England called off their match due to rain, but no such decision was made at the Old Deer Park in Richmond. Two teams of industry professionals “kept calm and carried on” and played an entertaining game of 20/20 cricket. Split into 2 innings of 10 overs each, both teams battled on despite the inclement weather and MHA MacIntyre Hudson were again the victors, winning by a single run, reaching a respectable 100 not out.
The game was followed by a typically British BBQ, (cooked outside, eaten indoors) and a sports quiz and prize draw. At the end of the day, over £2,000 was raised for The Royal Marsden, who said the funds will be used to contribute to the fight against cancer.
We would like to take this opportunity, not only to congratulate our co-hosts MHA MAcIntyre Hudson, but also to thank them for co-organising such a great day. We would also like to thank all who attended for the day too.
We are certain to return next year, ready to take back the trophy from our co-hosts!
