The WHA team and a number of guests attended this year’s British Travel Awards. The BTAs is an independent organisation which awards the top travel companies who provide the best products and services in the leisure and travel industry throughout the year. The BTA’s are also the only Travel Industry Award’s that are voted for by the consumer. The theme of the evening was “New York Glamour”, which was certainly representative of the décor. The Battersea Evolution Centre was fitted out to look like a number of New York districts, from the East Village to Manhattan. The night was opened by the Boys at Feefo – The Global Feedback Engine, who certainly know how to get the party started, followed by the awards themselves.
Lorraine Barnes-Burton, CEO of the British Travel Awards, started the proceedings, looking as glamourous as the theme itself. Lorraine was then joined by BTA Chairman Roger Allard and WHA’s Chris Photi, who highlighted the charities benefitting from the evening, in particular Tommy’s, who provide funding into research into stillbirth, premature birth and miscarriage.
As with every year, there were so many worthy winners and a list can be found on the enclosed link:-

After a short set from comedian of the night Hal Cruttenden, it was time for everyone to take to the floor and dance the night away, which is exactly what happened.
Team WHA enjoying the night
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Lorraine and the BTA team for a superb evening, and we certainly look forward to next year.
